"Toshiba" are developing " Direct Methanol Fuel Cells" DMFC's to replace modern rechargeable laptop batteries which could give 2 to 3 times the life of existing batteries at present.
American researchers have developed a Nanoscale device which could in theory be used in hard drives to increase storage capacity from for instance a 100 GB hard drive into a 100-terabyte device.
